About the event
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future initiative for the logistics industry. The conversation has shifted from “What is AI?” to “Where can it create measurable business value?”
That was the focus of our July Visionaries Club – Logistics Leaders Circle in Medellín, hosted by Softgic.
This private workshop brought together logistics leaders to exchange ideas, discuss real operational challenges, and explore practical AI applications in a collaborative setting. Rather than focusing on technology itself, the discussion centered on how AI can improve operations, increase visibility, and support better decision-making.

Three themes consistently emerged throughout the session:
AI must solve real business problems. Participants agreed that successful AI initiatives start with operational challenges, not with the technology.
Every organization is on a different AI journey. While some companies are already deploying AI solutions, others are defining their first use cases. Sharing these different perspectives generated valuable conversations and practical insights.
Collaboration accelerates innovation. Some of the most meaningful ideas came from leaders openly discussing their experiences, challenges, and lessons learned with their peers.
We would like to thank Softgic for hosting the session and the logistics leaders who generously shared their experience and perspectives:
- Alejandra Gonzalez Say — Fintech Manager
- Jorge Andrés Morales — Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist
- Maritza Arana Medina — Gerente de Operaciones. Supply Chain
- Maria Catalina Jaramillo Osorio – Supply Chain Planning Director
- Diego Gallo Arango — Executive Supply Chain Leader
The Visionaries Club was created to foster conversations like these—bringing together industry leaders to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and collectively shape the future of AI across their industries.
We look forward to continuing the conversation at our next session.
